MY JOURNEY FROM SUBURBIA TO A NATURE-MADE EXISTENCE

My Favorite Essential Oil Blend Recipes

Here are some of my favorite roller blends using essential oils and any carrier oil. I mostly use coconut oil, but you can use hemp, jojoba, almond, or argan. If you do not buy fractionated coconut oil (which is expensive), your ingredients will harden as it gets colder outside. Simply run it under warm water to melt. You can find affordable supplies on Amazon. I also find many affordable essential oils at Walmart (surprisingly), Brookshire's, Sprouts, and Natural Grocers. I will always stress that all of your products need to be organic, or at least NON-GMO for best results.

Allergies

This is great for when you feel that runny nose or itchy eyes coming on. It can also help with eczema if you need it in a pinch.

5 drops lavender

5 drops lemon

5 drops peppermint

Apply under the nose and on the wrist for when you need a quick boost. Headache

This blend is requested the most by my mom and her friends. I cannot say that I am surprised, as our systems are completely inundated with harmful substances that wreak havoc on our bodies. If you are having chronic headaches, that is your body's way of telling you that there is something very wrong. You are most likely being exposed to heavy metals and an inordinate amount of genetically modified items.

4 drops frankincense

5 drops peppermint

3 drops lavender

4 drops basil

Apply to the forehead, temples, under the nose, and to the wrist for a quick scent boost (meaning smell your wrist whenever you need to).

If you suffer from frequent, severe headaches, try using a headache balm and begin detoxing your body from the inside out. Pain Relief

3 drops peppermint

3 drops lemongrass

4 drops eucalyptus

3 drops rosemary

Apply topically, as needed, to any area that is sore/causing discomfort. Constipation

4 drops ginger

3 drops peppermint

3 drops rosemary

2 drops lemon

Apply liberally to the abdominal area when needed. Small Wound Care This is great for small cuts or scratches that don't really need a band-aid. It can also be useful for minor bug bites.

7 drops lavender

7 drops tea tree

7 drops frankincense

Apply liberally to the affected area. Eczema/Hives My son used to have very sensitive skin. He would break out in hives if exposed to harsh chemicals. Since using this roller, changing our detergent, switching all topical products to organic (and mostly homemade), and eating primarily organic, his eczema is gone. I have since passed this combination on to other mothers that have had the same problem with their children with successful results.

4 drops peppermint

4 drops frankincense

3 drops cedarwood

2 drops lemon

Apply topically to any hive breakout or irritated area as often as needed. This oil combo can also be made into a whipped lotion by melting together coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax. Then you simply let those cool and add your essential oil blend. Whip with an electric mixer and store in a glass jar.

Fever Use this blend when you feel illness coming on. It should help to detox the body and induce milder symptoms.

5 drops oregano

5 drops tea tree

10 drops lemon

2 drops frankincense

Roll over forehead, temples, and down the spine. You can also add this combination to a diffuser and use it along with the roller. I also recommend ingesting organic oil of oregano to help your immune system combat whatever toxicity it is fighting. The key to helping your fever do its job is to detox the body from multiple facets. Drink organic bone or vegetable broth. Make some turmeric and ginger tea. The roller is simply one tool out of many to help bolster your immune system in its time of need.

If you have any medical conditions or are on any prescriptions, please do the research before trying these oils to ensure no negative interactions.
